Born to a zulu father and a swazi mother Nqobile spent the first few years of her life in Durban with her parents before they packed up their life and settled to the place she would call home to this day; Johannesburg.

Nqobile was always a very expressive child and made her first television appearance at the age of 9 on the Felicia Show, which was hosted by Felicia Mabuza-Suttle.

Soon after she was scouted as a model while shopping with a cousin at the age of 11 and began appearing on numerous campaigns for for clothing retailers such as Jet & Edgars. As a young teenager she discovered and started developing her talents in Arts & Culture as a public speaker and dramatic performer through National Eisteddfod’s as well as her desire to be socially responsible through out-reach and fund raising.

Upon completing her matric she attended Midrand Graduate Institution in pursuit of a BA Journalism degree and signed with Moonyenn Lee & Associates as an actress. She has since featured in commercials for Hero Lager (Nigeria), Coca-Cola, Cell C, Standard Bank and many more. Her dramatic performances alongside some South African veterans include Florence Masebe and Lillian Dube in SAFTA winning Soul City 12 where she was the lead.

She has also been cast alongside Lawrence Fishburne in the BET Madiba mini-series in 2016 and Terry Pheto in Rockeville in 2014. Her fluid talent has allowed her to embody an impressive number of characters in over 10 drama series’ on Mzansi Magic, SABC 1, SABC 2, SABC 3 and now Etv where she plays a young investigative journalist on the hit show Scandal which reached 5 million viewers on the 23rd of November 2017. A first in its 13 years of production.
